Every Monday night from June through August, you can come to Surfside Beach and watch a free Beach Hula and Fire Show. The whole family is sure to enjoy these exciting cultural performances. The dances are authentic examples of Hawaiian hula dance, presented by Ohana Kahakai. Bring a chair, blanket, and a camera so you can relax and enjoy the show!
Ohana Kahakai has been performing hula and fire knife dances for over two decades in the Grand Strand. They learned from the late, great Chief Kamu from the Big Island of Hawaii, and now carry on his legacy by sharing Polynesian culture with the community.

The dances are seriously cool. During the hour-long show, you'll go on a journey through the Polynesian islands, one island at a time. You will learn the culture and history of Hawaii, New Zealand, Tahiti and Samoa through the art of dance and fire knife!
Beach Hula Shows take place each Monday from June 10, 2024 through August 12, 2024, from 7pm to 8pm. Head to the newly renovated Surfside Pier, at the end of Surfside Drive, to see the show!
